Thing 5 - Reflective blog

My reflections so far - Thing3 Prior to commencing this course when drafting a flyer, pamphlet or booklet I would have googled pictures to use without fully understanding or considering the implications of using the material of others. Creative Commons offers easy to understand information to the copyright novice. Whilst completing these exercises I have discovered many useful tips and tools.The tool I most  like is Pixabay . Pixabay is a wonderful "copyright safe" database of images. Using Pixabay I found an image which is  CC0 Creative Commons endorsed . I uploaded this image to Flickr and attached one of my favourite inspirational quotes thus completing thing3 . Thing4 PhotoFunia is a visual-based tool for creating maximum impact. What is the story with libraries today?  A good question given the digital revolution of the 21st century.  It is not a case of Libraries vs. technology but rather, libraries and technology working together in partnership.  Libraries can meet all your technological needs.  Read on, you'll find that a library is not just "a building that houses books".  Today in this digital age it has evolved into  so much more...... Of course your library is abundant with a miscellany of books, magazines, newspapers, periodicals, music, and film, to make use of  or borrow. Technology has now made it possible for you to avail of  online facilities including free wifi and an array of e-resources such as PressReader, Borrowbox & Freegal Music to name a few. There are opportunities to learn a  language with Mango languages, or take a course With Universal class. Also on hand  is a vast collection  of reference and digital material.  Remember your  library is a calm space for study
